Michael Alvear:Thank God for gay men, otherwise we women would be burdened to satisfy ALL of malekind's insatiable need for sweaty buffalo sex, and I personally don't have the time anymore. These days I keep up by reading Michael Alvear's sex-advice column, not to mention the awesome site he developed to make advice available to the masses by the masses.

Paris on Ponce is the most amazing rummage-bin of a warehouse full of fabulous used furniture and gew-gaws. It's like the world's biggest grandmother's attic, if grandmother was a silent movie star or something. Just go and you'll know.

In my opinion, Daniel Troppy is the best artist in this city. I truly love him and his work and fanatically advise you to make it your mission to familiarize yourself with his stuff because your life will be all the more awesome because of it.

Sister Louisa: Talk about insane! Grant Henry's Sister Louisa splays her twisted evangelical sayings all over second-hand religious cha-cha. Get you some!

Lynn Lamousin of KITTYBOY Creations created this site for me and she deserves truckloads of accolades because I am as unfocused as a round of buckshot when it comes to actually getting around to marketing myself. But she kept after me, and by doing so she kept my brain from being held hostage by all kinds of petty other crap that always seems to matter at the moment but, in the big picture, doesn't. So check out her site, because she is one seriously talented person.

Randy Osborne is one of my favorite writers of all time, and I do mean throughout the history of the universe. He is utterly brilliant, and his utterly brilliant independent zine, Big Pinch World, can be purchased for insanely cheap.

The Vortex Bar and Grill has the best booze selection in the city of Atlanta, and I'm not even speaking from personal experience, people actually voted on this. The owner Michael is my good friend, so he let's me in even though he has a "no-idiot" policy at his restaurant.

Steve Hedberg is one of the people I'm always profusely thanking in the acknowledgement pages of my books, because he was there in the beginning when my column was just an ember, fanning it so it wouldn't die out. He was the publisher/art director of the first newspaper that ran my humor pieces, and today he continues to be an immensely talented artist in his own right.
